Photos of Tucson or wherever I may wander, and sometimes my musings on them. Please feel free to leave a comment or ask questions. Thanks for stopping by.
Such a fine capture of a Motel or maybe I should say Motor Inn. Nice to see that they still keep the light on for you! Located on the southern route to California, a true piece of Americana history!
Love the old American motels, there is a whole project there on it's own. Trolley or cart, as someone once said, 'two people separated only by a common language'.

Gosh...this looks like it could be along U.S. 41 in Florida. Very retro.
Wow that is an old one! I love it!
American essence. Feels like an oasis to be. Please have a good Sunday.
Hey, welcome back to Arizona. This is a beautiful photograph of a weird, lovely place. It's achingly sad. Maybe needs a Zoloft dispenser in the lobby.

No one in the office...
Beautiful warm and low light.
Have a nice Sunday.
Awesome! Great shot T. Really love the mood of this image.
A real throwback, cool gold lettering.
Is that a water cooler on the roof? We had one of these on the roof of our home in Scottsdale (1959)...
Looks like a 60s motel. Nicely captured!
Did you dust off your Holga? This is awesome! A wonderful shot T!!
interesting result with this effect, looks like a surreal atmosphere, freame and dof is perfect for me, nice work

Well, that sure takes me back to On the Road with Jack Kerouac... or would this be more 60s?
Great retro look of this place, the name is magnificent even poetic and sad!
This is a beautiful photograph of the old motel!
Gorgeous place!
Great picture, love the colours... you never know how they turn out, but you seem to have a lot of luck with your Holga :-)
Also, I love that single light bulb above the door :-)
Great combination old motels and Holga. The old motels around here are usually trouble.
Fabulous.
I'll never, ever stay in a motel again though.
I like the fish-eye look to the photo. It looks like your were standing in one of the rooms looking out the peep hole in the door.
Looks like a desolate place right out of the Wild West. Perhaps the sheriff's office converted to a motel ! :)
I could imagine this as a cover for many old LPs, Kansas, the Eagles, etc
When I was a kid, my parents took us on trips every summer and we stayed in many places just like this.
What a name for a motel... travel to these bring back memories.
Nice shot of this rather bleak looking motel, I'd bet it has tales to tell.
Love the way you've worked this one T, gives it that real aged look. I see the 'we're closed' sign is in the window, is that permanently closed?
Positive and inviting place the way you took it!
Evocative shot. It's closed - do motels close? Too bad if it's the only bed for miles around.
Very nice photo!
So timeless!! Could be anytime..anywhere!
nice toning!
I love those '50s style motels. There's just something so American about them. This one looks great with the muted colors.
Nice! Like the effect that you have used!
This could be the setting of so many american movies I've seen. Very cool!
Great shot..I like that,,Have a nice day.
you don't see many like this one anymore. i remember having to stay in places like this as a kid.
love the mood of these cheap motels (never been to any of them)
Very cool and Holga is perfect for this shot!
J'aime beaucoup...
Pierre
That font for the OFFICE sign is just too perfect!
A very welcoming sight for a weary traveller... once upon a time. It reeks of nostalgia, fantastic shot.
Love shots of America that are off the beaten track, out of the cities. :))
Great shot. The Apache Tears Motel looks a lot better in this photograph.
