There

My first attempt at my new Lensbaby!  If you're not familiar with Lensbaby lenses, the blur is intentional (just so you don't think I forgot how to focus my camera!), and you can pivot the lens to where you would like the sweet spot of focus to be.

I'm trying a new format for my blog. I like the dynamic view but unfortunately it can't support gadgets like "Followers" right now, although I've been told that Blogger is working on that. We'll see how it goes, I may (or not!) switch back to my previous format.

Wonderful shot! I didn't know about Lensbaby. Actually the blue is so amazing.

I like the new look of your blog! This is a beautiful image!

Brava for the Lensbaby (and the new look). I don't get mine out enough these days. Looking forward to seeing how you view the world through yours.

BTW, you might want to put something about Tucson in your header. If you don't have some reference to your city the authorities can kick you off City Daily. I's happened.

T., don't get me lusting after new lenses! This is good. I need to see more shots to evaluate; I am guessing you will give us many more opportunities.

I follow one other blog that has shifted to this new format. It is pretty cool, but they haven't worked everything out. One thing I noticed is that I can't use an iPad to comment on blogs in this format.

Beautiful. The Lens Baby is a very creative lens.

It's interesting how ones eyes are drawn to the anthers. How useful this leans will be for many photos - it will be interesting to see what you show.

With this new format I have to post my comment twice.
I love the contrast in colors between the backdrop and flower. Have fun with the Lensbaby.

Not bad, for a first! :-)

Why does this layout make me write my comment twice? Noticed it elsewhere too...

Had to revert back to my old blog format, too many were saying they had to post their comments twice. Hopefully Blogger will get it's issues with the dynamic view format worked out. I'd like to get a new look...

really like the blending of the colors on this one; too bad about the new format ... I like it too, but I'll stick with the old format until the bugs are worked out

I've heard of this type of lens but I didn't know anything about them. The photo looks great and thanks for the link!

Beautiful first attempt using the system. I know is a challenge to begin, many lenses and accessories and a lot of time to use them. Nothing more interesting than a new project! Congrats

I thought the image, focused on the stamen/pollen, was perfect, even before reading your words. Didn't know these special lenses existed (but I'm a lazy photographer, as I wrote to today).

I have thought about a Lensbaby for a while. Cool effect.

jennyfreckles said...

It's a good effect. I think I need some more practice with the basics before I branch out in that direction though! I shall be interested to see your pioneering shots with the Lensbaby.
