Reflecting on the Lensbaby

So I've been practicing with the Lensbaby and I'm thinking it has the capability to do more artistic looking photos rather than just strange photos...so I'm still practicing.
Just to let you know, I've been trying to comment on many blogs, but for some reason Blogger is upset and won't allow me to leave comments on some.

Deep bow in respect of this piece of art.

Funny how Lensbaby makes some images (like this one) look like macro photos. I guess because depth of field is so shallow is gives the impression that the subject is small.
Is it just me or do others get that impression?

Did you make blogger mad?

Jack said...

It looks like Lensbaby just blurs the edges. Is that right?

I've had the same problem with Blogger. Blogger was a pain before Google took over but I think it's worse now.

I love playing with photos. I like what the Lensbaby does. But I can do a similar thing with a Photoshop action so I think I'll not shell out the money for the Lb.

Yes, I taught school for a number of years ... graduated from ASU, then did a year of post-grad in American history; did my student teaching at Phoenix Union High School.

Cool image. The Lensbaby has always intrigued me.
I've been having trouble leaving comments, too. Here and there, makes no sense. Hope they can fix the problem.

This is awesome!

I like this effect, it almost makes me thing you photographed a scale model. I think Steve hit the nail on the head.

I use OpenID to authenticate my comments and blogger has been very intermittent in allowing my comments. It seems better now than earlier today.

Nice one T. Bet the camera is fun. I've heard about the Blogger problem but I have encountered it. Knock on wood!

Ooops, I better clarify. Lensbaby does not typically make things look small. This actually is small. It was taken at a miniture golf course!

it gives this scene a tilt shift like effect.. nice shot! :)

John Maslowski said...

Had me fooled too, thought it was a tilt shift lens effect. Do like the lensbaby effect on this image. Great image!

It looks like a miniature somehow, I really enjoy looking at it. I feel like Alice in Wonderland!

(Glad I'm not the only one having trouble with some blogs!)

Ein faszinierendes Foto! Ich würde es nnennen: Treppe in die Unendlichkeit...

Ja, die Basteln mal wieder bei google und so wird einem das Kommentareschreiben verunmöglicht. Wird wohl wieder werden...

Lovely soft reflections T, makes an image more like a painting than a photo! Looks like you are getting the hang of the lens baby pretty quick!

Blogger gets upset quite often, doesn't it?

I don't know what the lensbaby is, but this almost looks like a miniature scene. Love all the reflections though!

PS: I've been having problems commenting too. Usu when I refresh the page, the comment window pops up somehow.

Are you using IE as your browser? I found that after I downloaded Chrome as my browser I didn't have any problems with leaving comments. No problems with Safari, either. No more IE for me. After several people mentioned they'd been unable to leave comments on my blogs, I also changed my settings from embedded to pop-up comments (see post here -- http://2totravelphaeton.blogspot.com/2011/05/blogger-commenting-could-this-be-answer.html)

Oops !! I was about to think the same about Lensbaby until you clarified. How exciting it is to explore always new ways !! I think that´s exactly the best with photography, that it´s almost limitless!! It´s going to be exciting to see what more do you create with the lensbaby :)

Always glad with your visit in my blog,,thanks T. that you enjoy my pics is a priceless reward for me. Regards.
