Sentries

This is how I spent my Monday, hiking in Sabino Canyon.  It was a good day.
I dedicate this photo to Bob of St. Louis Daily Photo who likes to remind me that I live in Tucson, not Europe, and JM of Oeiras Daily Photo who has an affinity for succulents.

Reminds me of a place called Superstition Mountain... went there for a hike in the 110° F heat when I was staying in the Mesa / Phoenix area.

Have a great week

Thanks to Bob for bringing you back home. Now I will once again miserably long for the desert I miss so much through your great photos. I may have been better off with you stuck in Europe. Love this photo. It belongs framed on my wall.

It is really beautiful to see such a landscape. You have to walk carefully, between the succulents I suppose.

The scenery looks very spectacular. I guess you enjoyed a hike in reasonable temperatures.

They keep going and going and going, even way up high. It looks like a pretty great place to hike.

Wow, more saguaro than there are vigilantes along the border. This is what I've been looking for. We often can't choose the time we shoot but this would be awfully dramatic at dawn or dusk.

well, your friend is quite patriotic...
I think you both are right: because you like Europe, and he reminds where your roots are...
and so, look how beautiful blog you have ;)

This is amazing, T.! And, of course, you know I love it. It reminds so much of the views you have when you travel from Mexico City to Oaxaca, although the species are not the same.
